Early Years Football Coach

Do you love working with young children and have a passion for sport? Join Sporty Heroes and help little ones discover the joy of football in a fun, supportive environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Session Delivery: Lead high-energy, structured, and imaginative football-themed play rather than competitive drills.
  • Skill Development: Focus on fundamental movement skills (ABC's: Agility, Balance, Coordination) and basic ball manipulation.
  • Safety & Safeguarding: Maintain a secure, inclusive environment and strictly follow all child protection and first-aid protocols.
  • Parent Communication: Build relationships with parents and guardians by providing updates on their child's progress and social development.
  • Equipment Management: Set up and pack away portable training gear.

Essential Requirements

  • Experience: At least three years experience working with young children (early years).
  • Qualifications: FA Level 1 Certification, FA Safeguarding Certification, First Aid Certification.
  • Soft Skills: An enthusiastic, patient, and highly engaging personality tailored for managing toddlers and pre-schoolers.
  • Background Check: An enhanced DBS check, unrestricted right to work in the UK.

Working Conditions

  • Hours: Primarily part-time, weekend mornings (Saturdays and Sundays).
  • Environment: Indoor leisure centres, community halls, or outdoor astroturf pitches depending on the programme.
